Eight years ago today, Piet and I were married. It was scorching hot, breath-stealingly humid, and otherwise typical of late June. It was eighteen months to the day after we got engaged.

Mazel tov! You're not going to believe this, but Mike and I have the same anniversary, right down to the year! For us, it was also the seventh anniversary of our first date. :-)

It was a Saturday in June. It's not too surprising that others share the date. In fact, I went to Teachers' College that fall and knew two other girls who had been married that same day. :)
