Feeding and tickling Opa

Elizabeth has the entire Little People Noah's Ark set. It was a birthday present from about half of my family. the Noah from the set looks remarkably like Opa - that is, Piet's dad. Opa (that is, Noah) was on the table during dinner just now. Dragonlass asked for him. Figuring she was nearly done anyway, I gave him to her.

First she tried to feed him her zucchini, making little lip-smacking noises in the process. Then she kissed him. Then she kissed his feet, shouting out, "Pieds! Pieds! Bisous!" in the process. Then they danced, to the tune of "Christmas Bells are Ringing", which is one of her new favourite songs - she loves the Ding Dong part. Opa danced his way through the milk and veggies on her tray before being kissed again and set aside with loving care.

I'm raising an empathetic child. It's so much fun to watch.

No. The Muppet Christmas Special where they all go to Fozzy's Ma's house has the Sesame Street gang singing it as they arrive. The words are:

Carolling, carolling, now we go,
Christmas bells are ringing,
Carolling, carolling through the snow,
Christmas bells are ringing.
Joyous voices sweet and clear,
Sing the sad of heart to cheer,
Ding, dong, ding, dong,
Christmas bells are ringing.

Elizabeth likes the "ding, dong, ding, dong" part. :)
