I have to wonder . . .

How is it that any parent can doubt that their children are descended from monkeys?

No kidding. *chuckle*

Isn't the comparison degrading to monkeys?

No. My daughter is every bit as purposeful about acquiring the USB cable dangling from the CPU as any monkey ever was about a banana. And the young of both species are so darn cute.

Around 18 months of age, little Christopher learned how to climb everything and he's only become more adept as time has passed. Not to mention he can do forward tumbles and now loves to hang off our arms and legs. There's no doubt in my mind we've descended from the little critters. :)

A strong resistance to being objective about their children?

Or to being objective about evolution. . .

most parents would agree that other peoples children are of simian origin....

Except that my cats also appear to be descended from monkeys. Wait. What side of this issue am I on again?
