What a cool idea!

I could see myself getting one of these for my older daughter within the next year or two.

Oh, that's awesome! I wouldn't mind one for myself. :) I might get this for my eldest nephew--he's turning SEVEN this year! O_O Still hard to believe. Kids grow soooo fast.

I'm considering getting one for Elizabeth, and maybe another one for Claire, and maybe one for my as-yet-unborn nephew. But I'm holding off for the moment. It would be too easy to buy a bunch and have them sitting around for ages before Christmas.

That's definitely a nifty idea! Most kids would probably love the pig aspect too-- though I could picture myself perhaps trying to create something as a craft with my kids...like using small canning jars and decorating them with labels for each area. Love the concept, though!

It's funny, Max was given TWO small piggy banks at my baby shower...I was just looking at them *last night* and trying to decide what good they were. What a coincidence. I might just divide them up into "save" and "donate" for him right away. When I was a little girl, I had a small bank and every night when my dad came to tuck me in, he'd sit down beside me and dig out a "shiny penny" -- he would open his little change purse and find whichever penny was the shiniest and I got that one. I still think about that whenever I see a particularly shiny penny. It was a great little moment between us.
