One of my colleages told me the other day of a lady she met on the Geriatric Assessment Unit, brought in by her family because she was eating dog food (yet had ample financial resources to eat 'people' food).
After a nice discussion on the various qualities of various brands of dog foods (!), my colleague suddenly realized that this woman actually believed that there was a little dog named 'Bufffy' living inside her stomach (!!), and that this woman was eating dog food in order to feed poor 'Buffy'(!!!).
After a short trial of an atypical neuroleptic, my colleage was later informed by this woman that 'Buffy' had been in taken by the SPCA and she didn't need to feed 'Buffy' dog food any more.
::B::
P.S. You could ask Elizabeth what her two doggy's names are...I just hope one isn't 'Buffy'.
