Ouch.

I've been back at the writing for less than an hour, but my back is aching and the words aren't flowing. Having done 2700 words so far today, I'm going to let myself take another hour off. I wonder if the Robax Max that's downstairs will knock me out, or make it possible to work more?

I'm debating going to work out before picking up Elizabeth, and having my MIL pick me up at the gym. We'll see.

You might want to try picking up an exercise ball and using that to sit on while you work. I use one at work, and it makes it so much easier to sit up properly. Not only that, it makes you use your core muscles, rather than just your back muscles, and so lightens the load on your back and helps your abs at the same time. *grins* The size should be such that the angle of your knees should be just a little more than 90 degrees.

And when you aren't working, Elizabeth can play with the ball. :-)There's nothing like having a bouncy ball bigger than yourself to play with.

I've got a friend who has two big medicine balls in their basement. I wonder if they'd be willing to give one up? I think they're officially birthing balls, but that's effectively the same thing, right?

Hmm. [livejournal.com profile] doc_mystery, you reading this? Would C. give me one of her balls?

Otherwise I may go out and buy one. Where can you get one?

Zellers, Wal-Mart, anywhere. Usually around $10. I have one... somewhere... basement, I think? Gathering dust. If your other source doesn't pan out, you can have mine.

Ooh, nice. I might take you up on that. If it was the right height for you, it would be just about right for me, too.

Can you imagine how much fun Elizabeth will have, trying to push Mommy off the ball so she can play with it? I may find myself sitting on the chair again while she amuses herself with my ball.

That's largely why ours is in the basement! She loved bellyflopping on the ball and being rolled around on it ("Whoaaa! Again, Mummy!"). However, given the size of our house, it was a liability. :)

I may have to set up a gate at the top of the stairs, but otherwise I think we could handle it. :)
