I'm a bridesmaid!!!!!!!

sassy_fae today asked myself and danaeris to be official bridesmaids!! Yay!!



That makes two weddings in one summer. The first is coming up really, really fast - five weeks!!!! That's five weeks to find dresses, get them altered as necessary, find foundation garments, makeup and accessories, plan a bachelorette and a shower, purchase items for shower, finish making The Gift, and get flowers and a dress for Elizabeth, who will be flower girl/ringbearer/child-of-all-work. That's a lot to do in five weeks!!!

So sassy_fae and danaeris are coming over on Tuesday right after work (read: just after seven) so we can go shopping. Fortunately, danaeris and I have similar figures and colouring. Finding a dress that will look good on both of us will be no bigger a deal than finding a plus-size dress for one. That could turn into a big deal, of course. I swear I've tried on every prom dress in the city in anything like my size, and I didn't find one I liked.

Still, we'll manage. After having missed being a bridesmaid in every wedding up to this point, it's really cool that I finally get to be in not one, but two weddings this summer. I am so excited!!!!

I have now used my quota of exclamation points for this evening. It's time to get ready for bed.

As I've inflicted purple on nearly every aspect of the wedding so far, I'm so glad that both of you look awesome in purple, and generally like it as a colour as well :D If purple doesn't work, there are a myriad of blues that will work just fine as well!
I am SO excited.. and so sleepy, too. Thanks for the decaff, it'll definitely save me tonight!
