And in a nod to the referendum across the pond

Seriously, I hope you guys do this. FPTP sucks and I'm hoping an NDP opposition will finally make that case in our Parliament.

That's a simple and understandable way of framing the problem. I wish Fair Vote Canada had a budget for that kind of thing. I had to pay for pamphlets out of my own pocket!

It doesn't take a whole lot of budget; it takes people with a bit of equipment (which Piet has) and some time and a Youtube account (which we all have.) The poster doesn't even take that; as an internet poster, it takes a bit of software and half an hour. We could do something like this.

I have a postal vote, since I can never make it to a Polling Station.

My vote has already been cast, therefore, and should get there in good time.

And YES I reckon we need a change.

We also need people to get off their collective arses and VOTE. Maybe they will if given an incentive.

If you want to know how GOOD something new is, check out who's hard agin' it....

The experience of most nations is that the electorate is far more motivated when they see that every vote serves to elect someone. Changing the electoral system DOES result in better voter engagement.
