Correlation /= Causation!

You'd think Scientific American would know that. I mean, really. Two little words: OUTSIDE FACTORS. Talk about bad scientific reporting.

  • We have the TV on at dinner.
  • Veg/fruit is already factored into the mealplan.
  • Dessert is not an option if the fruit/veg is not finished.
  • Seconds are frequently asked for.

Scientific American probably doesn't want to hear from me, since we don't fit into that tidy pigeonhole.

We have never eaten dinner in front of the TV, except when we feed the kids first and put them to bed so we can watch a movie. And admittedly, those are our most unhealthy meals - those are always the nights when we order pizza or chinese.

My TV emits anti fruit and vegetable rays. It's freaky.

I can't remember having a family dinner. Maybe when I was a little kid (Christmas and Easter not included). We bond over TV shows.
