They stay out of the headlines, other than when American bombers kill a few with "friendly fire" or some such. (Sorry. National rant.)

Canada's military is underfunded, underequipped, and very good at what it does for the most part. They do more with less than many better-funded armies. We contribute more people per capita to UN peacekeeping missions than any other nation, though I think that's been changing over the last decade or so.
