This may interest some of you.

Got a fantasy/sci-fi/horror book lying around, waiting to be published?

Here's your chance.

My book isn't ready for that yet, so I'm going to get it ready by this time next year and get published by Wizards of the Coast.

Oooh... I have nothing yet. But I love knowing about this- I've e-mailed myself the link for later. I'm planning on doing The Library for NaNo- maybe it will be ready by next year...

Oh, I can't wait to read that!

I'm going to use my sick days to give myself a month off before the baby is born, during which time I will finish my book, so mine will be ready for next fall, too.

I feel like I've been terribly neglecting the Library- though I do admit I had a thing or two going on recently. ;)

That's a good plan- having a month off before the baby is due, gives you time to finish preparing the Book and time to finish preparing for baby's arrival.

Baby's everywhere in my life these days. :) Got a call from my sis-in-law yesterday, but it was only an accidental 'wrong speed dial number' thing not 'Meghan's in labor!' thing.

My relatives used to get very excited when they saw my number on the call display. Elizabeth was less than a week late, so they weren't disappointed for long. :)

Well, Meg isn't officially due until Nov. 2 (or 4th depending on if you believe the Doc or the ultrasound techs- I keep wanting to say hologram techs). The SIL says that because her mom and step-dad will be out of town on Nov 2-3 that Meg will have the baby then. I think it would be funny if she actually had the baby on her due date. From what I understand, that isn't common.

About one in twenty come when the experts say they will, even if you know exactly when you got pregnant. Many times, doctors are out by a few days because a woman's cycle isn't usually exactly twenty-eight days, so it's hard to pinpoint exactly when she got pregnant. But even if you know, the baby doesn't usually cooperate. Elizabeth was due on the eleventh of April. That was my date. The family doc said March 30th (I told him from the outset he was off by two weeks, but he finally believed the ultrasound) and my OB/Gyn said April 9th, which I accepted because it was close enough. She was actually born on the 16th, and if I'd been smart, she would have been born even later, because I didn't really go into labour.

But that's another story. :)

And now I have a deadline for when I want to finish my current project as well!
