This is interesting.

The 100-mile diet

Summary: eating locally-grown, seasonal produce is good for you. even in the winter, especially if you supplement it with frozen or otherwise-preserved produce from the summer months.

This is a goal that I'm gradually moving towards. I'm lucky to live in a region where agriculture is diverse, so the 100-mile diet is logistically possible for me.

The first is too small for Claire, the second I'm considering taking around to a boutique and getting orders for because it's so adorable. Hats. )
