Something green to eat that's not veggies
Piet, I'd like to make this for Friday. Can you pick me up the marshmallows, Cool Whip, mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple and grapes, please?
24-hour Fruit Salad
(Note: four-hour refrigeration should be enough. Make it at night and serve it any time the next day.)
3-oz package instant pistachio pudding mix
19-oz can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 package small marshmallows, white or coloured
1 small carton Cool Whip
1 can mandarin oranges
1 cup pitted sweet cherries or seedless grapes, halved.
The recipe says mix it all together and refigerate. I advise mixing the pudding with the Cool Whip before adding the other ingredients. Otherwise it's very difficult to get it all mixed in properly. This looks great in a cut-glass or crystal bowl.
