That factor is huge. Nine times out of ten, engaged parenting leads to a better student. The tenth has undiagnosed learning issues. This is why programs like French Immersion and the single-gender classes at my previous school do well. Parents made an active choice for them, and the engagement factor is passed on to the kids.
