Make that four!

Beautiful lyrics, all! The "Be thou my vision" is the most familiar with me, as it is the standard in the methodist, UCC, presbyterian and lutheran hymnals (if not others...but those are the denominations with which I am most familiar). I think I like it mostly because I love the traditional irish tune, Slane, on which it is based.

I used that tune for my Easter hymn as part of NaPoWriMo this year: http://melstra.livejournal.com/237863.html The sentiment is not one with which you will agree of course (Easter being one of the few times I tend to allow myself to get caught up in the Jesus-fervor, if you will) but perhaps you will appreciate the poetry since I think it fits well with the melody.

It's lovely that you are able to find hymns that fit so well withe your evolving faith journey. I love it when I find a new one that speaks to me as well.
