The only reason I really got into getting a DX and doing something about it is I recently started nursing school. And it is a LOT of work. A lot of the kind of work that I am notoriously bad at. So I needed the extra help. I was making do just fine, but this extra piece of work was the tipping point. I didn't want to wait until I was ready to fail. (And even then, it took me a few months from "hey I should get it checked out" to making it to the drugstore and getting something.)
