You're right. It's not a major topic, and you're right about the dispute with Paul's word usage, too. That's why the whole debate is so strange; Christians who claim to be following God's law as laid down in the Bible are extrapolating quite a bit in order to find passages that support their points.

As I said, Sodom and Gomorrah were guilty of an awful lot of things that were worthy of getting smitten. Popular Christian mythology has created the idea that the worst of these was homosexuality, but Genesis doesn't bear that out.
