Rod and I are doing something like this, we want a gazebo backyard structure, but instead of a tarp that will get sun bleached and need constant care and storage in the winter, we are going to get some leafy plants to grow up alongside it that will cover the top completely and form the "roof" so to speak, I will take some pictures of some I saw around here and post them.
