Public announcement

We went to the Unitarian church today, and liked it enough to continue going there for a while. If it lives up to the promise of the first visit, we may make it our church home.

I liked the respect that was paid in the service to many faith traditions. I liked the emphasis on environmentalism and social justice. I liked that they took elements from many different cultures and faith traditions and validated all of them. It was nice to feel I wasn't being pushed into accepting that finally, THIS particular church had the answers I'd been looking for.

So for now, this is where we're going and what we're doing.

Those are all the same reasons the UU church works for me as well. It seems we have both found a church home. I'm very happy for you. :-D

Me too - I found a UU church a few years back and it really fit me. I'm officially agnostic, but still wanted the sort of community you get from a congregation.

What's really good about UU is that there's a usually a focus on getting ideas and knowledge from a wide range of faiths. There's not one true path, you have to figure it out for yourself.
